Not far from mills and fulling mills on river Ljuta is located the old cemetery church of St John. Continuity of life on this site can be traced to Early Antiquity. In the 19th century Sir Arthur Evans passed through the site and mentioned the finding of epigraphic inscription. In 2016 archaeological excavations started. It was concluded that near the church was an ancient villa rustica and the church itself was built above the original church from the 11th century. Till today, the pre-Romanesque church has went through many modifications like the restoration in the 15th century, until finally it was replaced by a new one built in late 20th century.
