The President of the Republic of Croatia Ms Kolinda Grabar Kitarović visited Konavle county museum in Čilipi on October 25^th 2017. Our museum director Ms Rusković Radonić introduced her to a rich and diverse Konavle intangible heritage pointing the traditional silk production that was part of every young girl’s life in this region. At the time, in the museum was a silk exhibition on a display that captured major interest of our guests. Soon after on November 15^th, in the Presidential palace in Zagreb the President awarded museum giving it a special acknowledgement. Konavle county museum is the first museum, together with Vukovar municipal museum that was honoured with a highest presidential acknowledgement.
