On the 8th of May 2018 in the garden of House Bukovac in Cavtat Museums and galleries of Konavle organized the promotion of the illustrated book Vlaho Bukovac - childhood. Vlaho Bukovac – childhood is the first among six illustrated books, in the edition of Museums and galleries of Konavle, that will follow exceptional life of our great painter Vlaho Bukovac. In addition to his artistic career, Bukovac had an extremely interesting life, as a boy from Cavtat who sailed the world and lived in various metropolitan cities from which he always, lovingly returned to his hometown.
In this first part, author of the text, Lidija Crnčević, wrote part of Vlaho's earliest life until the age of fourteen, his first trip to America. Illustrator of the book, Nora Mojaš, perfectly succeeded in illustrating the scents and colours of Cavtat and surrounding areas from the end of the 19th century.
