In House Bukovac on the 4th of July 2018 we celebrated the 163rd Anniversary of the birth of Vlaho Bukovac (1855 – 1922) with various program activities. During the children workshop led by Petra Kralj Fox, museum educator, children made installation which was then placed on the public space in Cavtat, to remind the wider community of the anniversary of our great painter Vlaho Bukovac.
On the display in House Bukovac was a pop-up exhibition of works made by students from Elementary school Cavtat. This group of pupils was gathered through the project Young Bukovac in their school. Opening of the exhibition was accompanied by a concert of musical school students led by prof. Đive Kušelj.
Museum curator Lucija Vuković lectured on the educational work of Vlaho Bukovac. She referred on Vlaho Bukovac’s childhood and early youth period in Cavtat, New York, Callahan and San Francisco as well as on the first Bukovac's role models and teachers.
