During the European Heritage Days in 2018, on October 5^th 2018 in the Department of archaeology, curator Jelena Beželj held a lecture on Basics about amphorae. This year’s theme of the European Heritage Days was Art of Sharing; sharing knowledge and information. Thus, prompted by the recent discovery and extraction of twenty Lamboglia 2 amphorae that were recently exhibited in the Department, the author presented to the locals the significance and many functions of amphorae. Where in Konavle have they been found so far, what did they carry, where did they come from, why were Lamboglia 2 amphorae have been extracted out of the sea, how did the extraction looked like etc.
