As a part of an URBAN – WASTE project, DUNEA (The Regional Development Agency Dubrovnik-Neretva County) has developed a mobile application called WASTEAPP. With the application DUNEA has started a small environmentally related game with the aim of promoting the proper waste disposal.
QR codes are located on the waste bins, on the 4 locations in Dubrovnik-Neretva County were waste sorting is enabled. Every scanning earns you a 100 points and during the day one can earn maximum of 200 points. The points cumulate during the days and with 300 points you can earn a ticket for one of the most beautiful heritage spots in the County:
- Museums and galleries of Konavle
- The House of Wine Tradition, Putniković
- Vela Luka Culture Center - Vela spila
- Cave in Predolac
- Narona Archaeological Museum
