On June 12, 2019, a play The Bukovac Fairy World took place in the garden of the House Bukovac. The play is the result of drama workshops that are being held for the second year in the House Bukovac within the pedagogical activities for preschool and primary school children. The theme for this year’s drama workshops was one of Vlaho Bukovac’s most successful decorative composition Dual Coronation in Heaven and on Earth made in 1901 for the ceiling of the Theatre in Dubrovnik. Through drama and speaking exercises, and guided drama improvisations, students staged a play, combining traditional values and modern approach to art. Through fabulous children’s play the art of Bukovac’s composition was revived, and viewers were able to encounter fairies, satires, angels, famous Dubrovnik poets, the blind gusle player and his companion, a little girl from Konavle.
