On 14 August, in front of the Konavle County Museum, there was a ceremony where acknowledgments were handed out to the participants of the programme Preserving the Art of Making Konavle Embroidery.
For three years in a row, the branch of Matica hrvatska in Konavle has been organising an educational programme about Konavle embroidery for group leaders and children. During the 2018/2019 school year, the programme was held in the Primary School Cavtat, where the workshops were implemented by Anita Radović and Luce Kojan. In the Primary School Gruda, the embroidery workshops were implemented by Pave Kos and Marija Prlenda, and in the Konavle County Museum, implemented by Katica Kordić and Katica Carević.
During this school year, 44 children and 6 group leaders participated in the workshops.
The director of the Museums and Galleries of Konavle, Antonia Rusković Radonić and the president of the Konavle branch of Matica hrvatska, Frano Herendija addressed the participants and spoke about the importance of preserving the protected cultural assets and handed their gifts and acknowledgments out to the boys and girls.
DJ Zlajo was in charge of the music after the acknowledgments were handed out.
