On 9th December, the full auditorium of the Department of Archaeology was presented with the book by Niko Kapetanić and Ivan Mirnik titled Finds of Old Coins from the Sokol Castle, published by the Society of Friends of Dubrovnik Antiquities.
Participants at the presentation were dr. sc. Joško Belamarić from the Institute of Art History, dr. sc. Miroslav Katić the director of the Museum of Croatian Archaeological Monuments from Split, author of the book Niko Kapetanić and Antonia Rusković Radonić the director of Museums and Galleries of Konavle. Thanks to the Society and their funding of the archaeological excavations, the numerous findings from Sokol and other sites, were permanently stored by the Ministry of Culture at the Department of Archaeology. The museum creates and enables the work of the professional and research staff in the Konavle Municipality, and it is becoming a reference location for archaeological research work.
