“Vlaho Bukovac/Sketches from Cavtat” Exhibition in Ludbreg

For saint Nicholas’ Day on December 6th in Batthyany castle in Ludbreg, “Vlaho Bukovac/Sketches from Cavtat” exhibition was opened. The exhibition is dedicated to a painted flag from 1902 depicting saint Nicholas which is a part of the Saint Nicholas parish church pinacotheca’s inventory in Cavtat. Due to various damages, conservation and restoration work was carried out on the flag at the Department of Textile of the Restoration Department in Ludbreg from 2016 to 2019. Eight Cavtat veduta’s by Vlaho Bukovac, from private collections, which wanted to highlight the connection of artist with his native land, were exhibited along with the flag, The exhibit is the result of cooperation between Croatian Conservation Institute, gallery Klovićevi dvori and the city of Ludbreg, and you can visit it to December 13th.
