On the occasion of Women's Day, on Saturday, March 7th at the Bukovac House a lecture on Jelica Bukovac, born Pitarević (Vlaho Bukovac’s wife) was held. Lucija Ljubić, curator trainee at the Museums and Galleries of Konavle, presented Jelica Bukovac's life through her family story, using the authentic letters from the Bukovac House archives, the autobiography of Vlaho Bukovac and the manuscript of her daughter, Ivanka Bukovac Javorski. Other than presenting Jelica, many unknown curiosities from Bukovac's life were shown. In addition, the visitors had the opportunity to see numerous handwritten clippings, photos from the family album and several portraits of Jelica made by her husband Vlaho and daughters Ivanka and Jelica.
