A small puppetry festival

For a third year in a row, the Aster Cultural Society organized a small puppet festival called Pupica. From September 4th to September 6th, big and small fans of fairy tales and puppet shows enjoyed the beautiful ambience of Gradac Park and House Bukovac. During the three-day festival, visitors had the opportunity to listen to three fairy tales and watch four puppet shows. The narrators Josipa Radonić and Vanja Balent narrated the fairy tales The Frog Girl, The Girl with the Rough Face and The Cat and the Fox. The plays The Frog Prince and the Steel Henry and The Little Red Riding Hood on the Way to Grandma were performed by the members of the Aster Cultural Society. Puppet studio Kvak from Zagreb performed for the first time at the Festival with the play Three Piglets, and the Slovenian Cultural Society Lipa performed the play Who sewed Vidu's shirt in a new version with songs written by Slovenian writer Boris A. Novak, and translated into Croatian by academician Luko Paljetak.
