Youth Initiative for Human Rights at the Konavle County Museum

On Wednesday November 4, members of the Youth Initiative for Human Rights from Podgorica, Montenegro visited the Konavle County Museum. Through expert guidance and conversation, they were introduced to the details of the occupation of Konavle during the Croatian War of Independence and the treatment of Konavle prisoners of the Morinje camp in Montenegro. In addition to the discussion on human rights during the war time, visitors were introduced to the rich history of the Konavle region as well as the Museum’s activities. At the very end, visitors donated a Montenegrin olive seedling to the Konavle County Museum as a sign of peace between our regions.
