Quickly, come to Konavle County Museum and collect your own silkworm larvas!
The new cycle of mulberry silkworm breeding in the Konavle County Museum has just begun: the larvae have started to hatch, while breaking through the softened membrane of the eggs. Only a few millimetres in size with skin overgrown with little hairy thorns so they can hold on to hard surfaces, silkworms are diligently sipping juice from the young mulberry leaves.
We hereby invite all interested children who want to take care of the silkworms to come to the Konavle County Museum and pick up their own little box of silkworms. For those less brave we invite you to become a godparent to our silkworms and feed them regularly in the Museum premises.
We are looking forward to seeing you :)
