Every day our museum’s staff diligently works to produce one story for the blog. The stories are divided into Stories sprouting from nature and Stories sprouting from the museum. Through the stories sprouting from nature, we present the natural heritage of Konavle region. Plants are presented more ethnographically rather than botanically, while the goal is to heal our archaic bond we had with plants and connect man and plants through diet, healing, benefits, or beliefs. Plants are described according to their growing calendar, i.e. according to the time of their appearance in nature. Accordingly, many other themes arose at a time of their popularity in the present day.
Stories from the museum refer to the tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Konavle region, while the sources of the texts are: material from Museums and Galleries of Konavle, the stories of our fellow storytellers, and available literature.
Museums and Galleries of Konavle launched a blog called Stories sprouting from Konavle on March 18, 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
